چکیده

Indonesian cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmannii) is a native plant of Indonesia that has lot potential. The most consumed part the bark. This study aims to examine antimicrobial effect Cinnamomum burmannii bark extract on various types pathogenic microbes, namely Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacter spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Candida albicans. An experimental using water (infusion) microbial test obtained from Faculty Pharmacy, Widya Mandala Catholic University, Surabaya. was carried out by microdilution method in 96-well-microplate determine Minimum Inhibitory Level (MIC) implantation solid media Kill Rate (KBM). MIC KBM against aureus were 625-1,250 ppm 1,250-2,500 ppm, respectively. for albicans not found at highest concentrations tested 10,000 ppm. can be used as potential ingredient with effects, especially Gram-positive bacteria. Future studies should pay attention quality simplicia, particle size, effective extraction methods extracting substances simplicia
